8.2  Shooting Team Loses Control of Ball [Variation]
If a player on the shooting team loses control of a ball, the ball shall be deemed not in play, unless the ball slips from a shooter's grip while their hand is in a shooting motion. If the ball is deemed not in play and subsequently lands in one of shooting teamís cups, the cup shall be deemed hit, the cup shall be removed from the table, and the shooting team shall maintain possession of the ball.
